Dr. Margaret Moodian is thrilled to be a part of TIAS ARMS! It is a wonderful group that does amazing things for children in South Africa. She is currently a faculty member at Chapman University and codirects the tutoring center at Brandman University. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Chapman University and a master’s degree in psychology and a doctorate in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University. In addition to her work with TIAS ARMS, Margaret maintains community involvement with nonprofit groups Court Appointed Special Advocates and the World Affairs Council of Orange County. She is also active on the Chapman and Pepperdine alumni boards. She and her husband Dr. Michael Moodian live in South Orange County with their rescue dog Manny and chinchilla Marshall.
Kim originally became involved with TIAS ARMS as a donor. She witnessed first hand the devastation of HIV/AIDS in the early eighties while working as a RN. Her role changed from donor to board member. One of her greatest travel experiences was to South Africa to visit our sites. “Despite their health issues, these children exude joy. ” Kim has three adult children of her own and continues to work as a nurse.
Board Member at Large, Diane Estrada, is a former marketing executive with over 20 years P&L accomplishments in high growth, information technology, and start-up operations. Inspired by founder Joanne’s dedication, passion and much needed support of HIV/AIDS affected children in South Africa; Diane joins the TIAS ARMS board offering marketing and business expertise to help increase public awareness as well as the donor base of Tias Arms.
